These are a few drawings that I have been working on lately. It is always hard to get back into the groove after a residency. I think too much, I am too critical and I am filled and overwhelmed with too many ideas. I worry that they are getting too close to human, I prefer them when they hang out in a funny space between human and non-human and when their expressions reveal possibilities. I also have a couple of papers hanging over my head which always makes me feel guilty while I am drawing.
On a brighter note my work was mentioned in the Boston Globe a couple of days ago in a review for the Boston Young Contemporaries show and I was really happy with what was said.
