A collaboration with August, a wonderful four and a half year old with an affinity for hair and drawing. I love the feeling in these drawings that things are what they are, not what they should be and they are certainly what they feel like as a working mother( I am certain it is the same for mothers who do not work out of the home). You try to have everything just so, but there is a wildness to life that cannot be tamed. Pretend we may, but it is there.
