These are all drawings/prints from a project that I have been working on. I like the image of the woman holding a fish. Men hold fish more often than women and usually as a prize catch displaying victory. Tales are told of past catches and of the large ones that got away. I thought of how women hold things and of women listening to those tales told over and over again. I like the woman holding a fish who cannot hold, that cannot breathe out of water yet there is a calm. I like the fragile relationship and the quiet understanding.
