A few sketches from today. How I love the simultaneous strenth and sensitivity of a line.

I am constantly feeling that my characters need a sense of space. Is a line or a prop enough. They are so easily overwhelmed/ overshadowed. I am thinking a slight shift in color may help. I am sure they like to sit under trees, go for walks in the woods, watch the birds, sit at the kitchen table, curl up in a chair. As I think about it I see them everywhere. Perhaps there wherabouts will slowly reveal itself to me. If you have any thoughts I would love to hear them.

  2. you do tremendous things with lines. i'm sure your work would look beautiful with any kind of background, but the crisp outlines of your drawings against a blank background are very powerful.

  3. Your work is so fantastic! I see your gentle creatures in a city, in those odd places where one would not expect them (but would love to see them!), like curled up in a supermarket trolley, or sitting on top of a book case in a bookshop, perhaps even gazing out of the window of a passing bus. When the city overwhelms them, they go to a local park and watch the children play.
