Two new collages and a sketchbook page.
August said that the guy in the last image is saying "I love you Mom, but your'e a robot." I love her and Owen's take on my work. I could never be that interesting. Some parts of motherhood, namely cleaning and laundry, certainly leave me feeling like a robot.

  1. it's true - our children come up with insights on our work that we don't see.

i feel like a robot for at least part of every day. with my older one it's getting easier as she gains more independence. she's learning how to prepare simple meals and how to do other things that i normally take on, simply because i'm just sick of doing them! next up - laundry!

  2. I love the second image. It makes me think about having a conversation with a much more together version of myself. The self we want to be, but can't because of all the different things we need to be in each day.

  4. My son asked me if I needed help coloring some of my black/white drawings the other day. he asked me what a shpae was and I didn´t know what to say so I said: perhaps the sun? and he was like: noho mum, the sun is yellow!

  5. The one in the middle... so clever described by Ecocheapo, I don´t need to say anything.
