watching planes

A not so great photograph of a painting I have been working on.
This is on a larger piece of wood.
The animal is raw wood as is the bottom strip.
I am not sure how I feel about the landscape around them.
I do like that they are up high.
What do you think?

  2. the landscape around them is exciting. What size is the painting?
It´s fun because I am working, differently, but also on a big piece of wood (actually an old tabletop)and I find it interesting to save some sphere where the wood itself speeks. Like Your animal! :)
I am about to carv in mine... I´m not sure how it will end up.

  4. Aris, this is great. I like your landscape hues, give an atmosphere and as for the characters... I love them, they are telling a story. I like to imagine the words to it :)

  5. The landscape creates a fine tension with the figures. Beautiful, it sings.

Hanna they are 12 by 12 inches. I Am excited to see your painting and the carving sounds very interesting. I like the wood showing through I feel like I am suffocating it if cover it all up.
