I just showed this painting to August and she said the girl is trying to be a statue so she won't have to clean

    I will have to try this statue move... I don't feel like cleaning either.
    Love this painting... the dress pattern and colors are really swell. Wish I knew what to say to that shy looking fellow to make him more at ease.

    i think those thoughts go hand in hand - housecleaning can take the the words right out of a person. i absolutely love the dress on this "chicken woman", as alexandra calls her, especially with that matronly figure!
