keeping hold

Aren't we always trying to keep hold of things that fly?

These drawings are the very early stages of a fun project/exhibition that I am working on with nine other artists from all over the world. We are making a book that will be traveling to many special places. The title of the book/exhibit is Of Fishes and Birds. We have a blog where we are documenting the development of this project and where you can meet all of the artists who are participating. This idea came from the very clever head of Kitty Kilian. I am looking forward to getting to know the other artists and to seeing their interpretations. Please follow our blog and see what will happen.

  1. oh yes, i was just thinking today about that notion concerning my own little birdies, but i couldn't ever draw it as beautifully as you have!

  2. These are so touching Aris. Tears in my eye...

    Congrats to Your project!

  3. I love the combination of your creatures with birds - as with all your art, each piece evokes feelings and emotions and stories. Looks like a great project in the making!

  4. I love how you can see through to the drawing underneath - it adds to the mystery... they are very haunting - I would liek to see one with a cardinal - they have special meaning to me...
    Thanks for sharing.
