sunday

I have been busy reading, painting, putting things together, making families really, and getting August and Owen ready for school. They are starting kindergarten in a week. I start school tomorrow. It will be nice, I suppose(trying to make myself believe) to get back into a routine. So sad to see summer go but how can I not look forward to the fall?

  1. I can read so much into your family groupings! I also like the patterns on their clothing and the subtle textures of the paint in this one.

Fall is, indeed, a wonderful antidote to summer.

  2. A moustache! heh heh- Fall comes like a locomotive- sweeps the place and gets all of the animals tucked away- It moves fast and furiously...and then suddenly we are frozen in place wondering why we ever wished summer away...I am not done with summer...

  5. Oh, there is something about this group ... The mother is smiling broadly, but is that smile real or is it hiding some sadness? And the two in front, they are not quite so adept at putting on a jolly face ... Maybe it is because summer is almost over for you? But just think, when summer ends for you, it starts somewhere else in the world! And then it comes back to you!

  6. Starting kindergarten... oh, how exciting and a little daunting too. Here's to the delights of autumn. Here it is all rain, rain, glorious rain, and the first day of spring. Here's to reassuring change.
